Executive Team

Success requires vision and leadership from an executive management team. With more than 150 years of combined experience in the real estate industry, Old Republic’s executive team is exceptionally qualified.

R. Wayne Shupe, President
Wayne Shupe has been with Old Republic Title Company for over a decade. Since January 2002, he served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer until January 2004, when he succeeded Michael Trudeau as President of Old Republic Title Holding Company and it's subidiaries. Until January 2002, he was Executive Vice President and Regional Manager responsible for ORTHC’s Santa Clara - California, Arizona and Nevada Operations. Prior to joining Old Republic, he managed title and escrow operations for a national title insurance underwriter in the states of Arizona, Texas, Colorado and California. Mr. Shupe has continually served on the Board of Governor's of the California Land Title Association since 2000, and currently serves as the Treasurer and active member of the Executive Committee of the California Land Title Association. A veteran of the title insurance industry, Mr. Shupe entered the business shortly after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 1978.
Kathy Brolin, Executive Vice President, Regional Manager
Kathy Brolin began her career with Founders/Old Republic Title in Alameda County in 1976. Throughout her extensive career with the Company, Kathy held many progressively responsible positions and worked in nearly all facets of the business. She most recently was Sr. Vice President/Alameda County Manager. She is an active member of The California Escrow Association and participates on committees with The Board of Realtors® throughout all Alameda County cities.
Sam Carlisi, Executive Vice President, Regional Manager
Sam Carlisi is the longest tenured employee in the Western Region. On July 1, 2006 Sam celebrated his thirty-seventh year at Old Republic Title. His long and successful career with ORT started in Phoenix Arizona in July 1969 as the Title Operations Manager for the Arizona start-up, Title Insurance Company of Minnesota. In January of 1980 he was promoted and transferred to Clark County Nevada,(Las Vegas) as Vice President, County Manager. In 1984 he was elected President of the Nevada Land Title Association. In March of 1985 Sam was transferred to Founders Title Company as VP, Assistant County Manager of Alameda County and was soon promoted to Senior Vice President Alameda County Manager. In May of 1997 he was appointed East Bay Regional Manager in charge of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. In October of 1999 Sam was transferred to San Francisco to fulfill the position of Senior Vice President, San Francisco County Manager. Sam attended Arizona State University in Tempe Arizona. Sam is currently involved in the CLTA, San Francisco Association of Realtors, Women's Council of Realtors, San Francisco Planning & Urban Research (SPUR), Chinatown Community Development, San Francisco Child Abuse Center, Residential Builders Association, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Center.
Rick Dosa, Executive Vice President, Corporate Counsel
Rick Dosa started his career at Old Republic as a title searcher and occasional messenger in 1974. Rick has been Corporate Counsel since 2003. He has represented Old Republic as a lawyer in various capacities since 1981.

Rick graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1973 with Bachelors of Arts Degrees in Rhetoric and Political Science. He has a Master of Arts Degree (Political Science) from San Francisco State University and received his Law Degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 1981.

Rick is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is a member of the American Bar Association and the San Francisco Bar Association.

Rick is a member of the Board of Governors of the California Land Title Association and throughout his career has served on several CLTA Committees, including Forms and Practices and the Legislative Committee.
Carleton R. Lago Sr., Senior Vice President
Carleton (Carl) joined Founders/Old Republic Title in March 1974 when he opened the Company’s Marin County, California operation. Carl, who has over forty-two years of experience in the title industry, began his career as a courthouse title searcher. Since joining the Company, he has held the positions of title plant poster, title searcher, title examiner, title officer, chief title officer, title operations manager, escrow officer, commercial escrow officer, chief escrow officer and assistant county manager. Carl transferred to Old Republic’s Western Division Corporate Headquarters Office in early 1987. During his tenure at Company’s Corporate Headquarters Carl has been the Assistant to the President. He has been and is responsible for the building, acquisition and modernization of the Company’s title plants in Western Division, licensing of the Company’s operations in California, Oregon and Washington and assists the Corporate Counsel, Legal and Underwriting Departments with Regulatory compliance and other matters. Reporting to Carl are the Company’s Corporate Administration Department, Corporate Escrow Operations, Office Services Division, Roseville, California Title Plant (Title Mall) and the Southern California Title Production Center. Carl is a Director of the Oregon Land Title Association and the Oregon Title Insurance Rating Organization.
Paul Johnston, Vice President
Western Division Manager of Residential Sales

As Vice President, Western Division Manager of Residential Sales, Paul Johnston is responsible for developing and managing the overall sales and marketing efforts throughout the States of Arizona, California, Nevada, Hawaii and Washington. Paul has over 15 years of sales experience with a proven successful track record for creating, distributing and coordinating enterprise marketing initiatives and innovative sales programs. Paul has served in a variety of Sales Management roles within the title insurance industry specializing in creating tools, strategies and ideas to help salespeople remain competitive.
Jon Fine, Senior Vice President
Western Division Manager of Commercial Services

Since joining the company in 1999, Jon has been fully engaged in enhancing the overall image of Old Republic Title in the commercial segment. In that regard, Jon was responsible for start-up commercial operations in San Jose, California (1999) and in Seattle, Washington (2003). Prior to that, Jon was a County Manager at a competing company where he utilized his work ethic and marketing savvy to consistently advance his title career from sales to management. While in college, Jon excelled in the retail grocery business working for Safeway, Inc., where point-of-sale marketing, quality customer service and low-margin profit structures were deeply embedded as core business philosophies. In that role, Jon directed a management team and over 200 employees in the largest single Pak’n Save store in Reno, Nevada.
Cy Childs, Senior Vice President, Director of Information Services
As Senior Vice President, Director of Information Services, Cy Childs manages all functional areas of Technology for Old Republic Title Holding Company, Inc. (ORTHC) including, but not limited to: Infrastructure, LAN/WAN, Systems Administration, Security, policies & procedures, software licensing and subcontractor agreements. Cy has served twenty-six years in the field of business technology. For twenty-three years, Cy held numerous senior level positions including network architect, independent service provider, systems integrator, software designer and developer, project manager and consultant to business owners and corporate executives.
Tommy Gill, Senior Vice President, Corporate Real Estate Manager
After eleven years in private practice, including doing work for Old Republic, Tommy Gill joined Old Republic’s legal department in 1994. Although hired as a Claims and Litigation Attorney in 1998, Tommy took on much of the responsibility for lease review for the many Western Region locations. In 2004, Tommy left the legal department to head the company’s newly created Real Estate Department. As the Manager of that department, he counsels and advises operations managers regarding leasehold matters and is ultimately responsible for all facilities issues for the one hundred and fifty leased locations and the two commercial buildings that Old Republic owns. Tommy graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1976 with a B.A. in Spanish. He is a 1981 graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law. Tommy speaks, reads and writes Spanish and consults on multi-cultural and translation issues for Old Republic.
Linda Lu Castronovo, Vice President, Counsel, Corporate Human Resources Manager
As Vice President, Counsel and Manager of Corporate Human Resources, Linda Lu Castronovo manages all functional areas of Human Resources for Old Republic Title Holding Company, Inc. (ORTHC) including employer-employee relations, employee benefits, conflict resolution, and management training. Linda graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of California, Davis in 1994 and was admitted to the State Bar of California in December of 1994. Linda is licensed to practice law in California and has practiced law in the areas of Employment Law, Labor Relations, and Employee Benefits since 1995. Linda is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association and a member of the Labor & Employment Section and Workers’ Compensation Section of the California State Bar. Linda is also fluent in Chinese (Mandarin).
Lynn Levendowski, Vice President, Corporate Escrow Operations and Quality Assurance Department Manager
Lynn Levendowski began her career with Old Republic Title Company in 1978 as the branch manager of an escrow office in Lodi, California. In addition to working in numerous counties as an escrow officer and branch manager, she managed the OLD REPUBLIC Learning Center in Concord and established and managed the Quality Assurance Department. In 2001, Lynn was promoted to her current position as Corporate Escrow Operations Manager, where she continues to head up the Quality Assurance Department, as well as the File Examination and Advisory departments for the Western Region.

Lynn earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University at San Francisco in 1989, with a minor in Business. She is a member of the California Escrow Association and holds the professional designation of Certified Senior Escrow Officer.
JoAnna Conti, Vice President, Escrow Advisory Manager
JoAnna started a career as a translator for Wells Fargo Bank, Foreign Division and in 1965 transitioned into escrow when Wells Fargo Bank formed an Escrow Division in Northern California. She joined Old Republic Title Company in 1978 as an escrow officer and later successfully fulfilled the duties of Branch Manager and Escrow Operations Manager in San Mateo County. In 1999 JoAnna joined the Corporate Escrow Operations as Manager of the Western Region Escrow Advisory Dept .
Carol Wheeler, Vice President, Escrow Advisory
Carol began her career in the title and escrow industry in 1974 and joined Old Republic Title in 1994 as a Commercial Escrow Officer in Stanislaus County. Most recently she was the Escrow Operations Manager in San Joaquin County before joining the Escrow Advisory team in 2004. Carol is active in the California Escrow Association and was instrumental in the formation of the San Joaquin Valley Escrow Association in 1986 where she served three terms as President. She holds the professional designations of Certified Escrow Instructor, Certified Escrow Officer, and Certified Senior Escrow Officer.
